Winter Wildlife Expeditions

During the winter, the wildlife comes out of the mountains and down into the valleys providing excellent opportunity for viewing. Horse-drawn sleigh rides will take you out into the National Elk Refuge, allowing you to be in the midst of the world’s largest elk herds. Snowmobiling

During the snowy, winter months, the only way to access Yellowstone National Park is by either snowcoach or snowmobile. Entering America’s oldest National Park during the winter is a spectacular event. You’ll get to see the Park’s wildlife in their struggle for survival against the elements, as well as the striking contrast between the warmth of the geysers and thermal features against the frigid cold of the surrounding environment.
